Puzzle game idea - waiting feedbacks Thread

"Greetings all! We are developing a game where two characters are involved. One of the characters is trapped inside a snowman and the other must solve puzzles to save him. Our team has considered two types of puzzles for the game.

Sunlight Puzzles: The player must use mirrors, lenses, or other reflective objects to direct sunlight to a specific location to melt, heat, or burn objects.

Chemical Reaction Puzzles: The player must create and control chemical reactions between different objects to solve a puzzle. This can be done by changing temperature, combining objects, or adding different catalysts.

We would like to gather your thoughts on these puzzle types and any challenges we may face in implementing them. Your recommendations and insights are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration."

-Without additional pictures of how whole's thing is working, we are in unable position to help you, neither in graphical or tactical story's view. We are not so stupid of course, game based on escape from room is not strange but.. but ..what is that Gold word, hmmm ..

I have to wonder why other character can't use shovel to dig out their friend or just remove the snow with hands or better tool. How thick a snowman could be anyways?

Also if player could change temperature, why not do that directly to the snowman?

Joke aside, I can imagine the base of this game and I highly suggest trapping inside ice cage instead to make it more convincing.

As for puzzle types, sunlight is simpler to understand but it doesn't provide much variation. Well light maybe. Chemical reaction provides more variation but it's kinda disappointing to use that to produce only heat. And also it's harder to understand cause not all people know that certain chemical reactions could produce heat and other could consume heat.

Your team should vote between those two with simplicity and variation in mind.
