Ironsmith Studios is a newly registered Indie Studio based down on the South Coast of England in a small town called Weymouth. The studios will first aim to develop games for the PC platform that will include VR. The studio was first founded and currently has one employee, Chris Legg, who after completing his Masters at the University of South Wales decided to start his own studio, looking to eventually bring in other graduates who find it hard to find employment in a very large but difficult industry.

The studio was registered as a Ltd company in June 2018 and is now working on Fused, a first person platformer and puzzle game that takes visual influences from Disney's Tron. The player takes part in a cyber world which has been damaged by a cascade failure. A nanobyte, who is the lifeline of this world, has the responsibility to fix different fuses by solving puzzles that advance you through a beautiful sci fi cyber scenery that glows in gorgeous colours.

You use three different colour changes to help find the fuses that fixes the level. These colours affect the player in different ways:

  • RED - By turning red, the player is able to move through red barrier beams, however these beams maybe placed in challenging conditions.
  • BLUE - When the player turns blue and steps on an arrow boost, the players speed increases causing a speed increase that can change differently on each arrow, so be prepared!
  • GREEN - Green allows the player to activate launchpads that are located around the levels. These launchpads move the player across distances in the direction they're facing, which could prove fatal if not used properly.

The studio is currently in its early stages and is looking for any help with financial backing to help move if forward, expand and develop fun, entertaining and interactive games. Fused is currently on Kickstarter, where it has a slow start but feeling confident it will do well. If you would be interested in helping this new studio flourish, please check out the link below and help back the game, even the smallest pledge will help!
