How do you find a good member in your dev team? Thread

This may be a dumb question but personally I got some troubles because of this.

3 years ago I started a small team with 2 of my friends. We simply know each other since high school but literally no one is exactly good with coding, so we decide to make games with RPG Maker since it seems to be easy for newbies.

After 1 year of working on our idea, we got to nowhere. Apparently my friends gradually to lose their interest, then I suspect that their "interest in making games" is simply a fleeting thought. They were not serious about it and eventually we ended our project.

I also think it was partly my fault for lack of communication & planning. But still, how do you find people to join your team?

For some reason it's difficult for me so I hope to learn some solutions.
