Doom III console problem / play custom map Thread

Hi,

I cannot use commands because ctrl+alt+(tilde key under esc) doesn't work and seta com_allowconsole "1" in DoomConfig.cfg doesn't help

I have downloaded original version of Doom III 1.3.1

I just wanna try play Doom III Torn custom map (then try other mods). But for playing that map I have to pull the console down and type "map Torn_p1"

If my problem with console cannot be solved How can I edit those maps for automatically load when "play new" button is pressed? (or other method for load game without console)

HI. Have you tried to put it at the end of the string under target. Right click the icon and add seta com_allowconsole 1 to the very end. leave a space at the end of the target string before you add the end. No quotations around the 1.

That way it opens just by hitting th ` tilde key.

Also...could you tell me where you got the 1.3.1 version of Doom 3? I'm tried using the patches and it doesn't wotk.
