C&C Generals and ZH problem Thread

Dear Friends,

I have a serious problem with Generals and ZH. It doesn't start at all no matter what kind of game I use (vanilla, after patch, pirate or genuine - DVD version the first decade). I have now this problem on my laptop lenovo with Win10, but I had it once upon a time on desktop PC with Win 7. After clicking exe file start screens appears and... it disappears without any error etc. What should I do? I really have no idea and have no problems with any other old game (RA2, PG2, HIII etc...) Thanks a lot for any help friends.

First clean install,
then add critical patch 1.04(critical) and run the game.

if not working open:
C:\users\YOURNAME\documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data (or Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data)

and with notepad open or "create"new file under name options.ini: (must have .ini extension).
-and paste inside text

...then save as(drop-down box, all files), options.ini
again, options.ini must have "ini" extension, not "txt".

experiment with option Resolution, this is critical.

key - that folder called Command and Conquer Generals Data, click right on him, then properties and then the security tab, and change the permissions for all users. All files in that folder has to be in clean Read-Only mod(without "x" ).
.Exe of that game run in Compatibility with Windows XP (SP3), and change administrator box option(experiment).
