Three years after RPG Maker 2000, RPG Maker 2003 came along. This release fixes many of the drawbacks of RPG Maker 2000 and features many completely revamped features, such as the battle system. Almost all resources from RPG Maker 2000 can be used in RPG Maker 2003, and even some RPG Maker 2000 games can be imported into RPG Maker 2003. While there is still the appeal of the newer RPG Maker XP, many people still stick to the simpler and arguably more fun to use RPG Maker 2003.

Amazing game engine for a basic role playing game. I love it. It's one of my favorite engines besides Unity.

Only downfall is windows only, but with an emulator, you can go anywhere.

Was pretty good. The only problems I had were when you left a room and reentered and there was a event with an auto start even though I used a switch to stop it, it re did the same process.

It is simply amazing. On RPG Maker 2003 its not only easy to use but you can make really detailed RPGs. Best of all though: It's free!!!
