Version 1.10.3 of Western Europe 410-962 - The Winter King. Compatible with CK2 version 3.2.1.
Notes:
- IMPORTANT: Be sure to completely delete all previous versions of BTWK before installing version 1.10.3. Not doing so will result in a corrupted installation that will almost certainly be unplayable.
- This version should be compatible with any savegames started in version 1.10.0/1/2, though as usual we cannot guarantee that any bugs will be fixed retroactively.
- A reminder that the Portraits submod requires the Celtic, Norse, Mongol, Early Western, and Iberian Portraits, as well as Monks and Mystics and Holy Fury. Please ensure that you have all of the required portrait packs before activating, as otherwise you will face graphical issues.
- As usual, if you see any bugs, balance issues, or just weird behavior please feel free to report them so we can investigate and fix them.

Thanks for the update as usual. Do you know when the cold winter events stop? The ones that remove prosperity, give you depopulation and other maluses.
They start decreasing in frequency after 550, but won't stop completely until 660.
Thanks for reply. I was also wondering if you could look into governor/king-tier vassal behavior. Because of Imperial government they freely revoke duchies and hoard them, as well as often staying severely over the demesne limit, leading to revolts, plots and money issues. Is there a way to make the AI less willing to do this?
I haven't seen this before. Do you have a save where this occurs? Title-granting and revoking behaviour is essentially unmoddable in any case.

The AI seems to give out its excess county titles after running the game for a few months. What's your checksum, and which modules do you have enabled?
3.2.0 (KLLL) along with the standard WK pack: the base game, music, portraits on 1.10.2 (Haven't updated since I want to wrap up this campaign)
Okay, since I can't reproduce it on the current patch I'm going to assume that it's since been fixed.
Nevermind, I think figured it out. It's still because of the inherited viceroyalty status of duchies, but there's a workaround. For some reason they make the ruler refuse to hand them out, but once I inherit/revoke the kingdom viceroyalty, I can go revoke all the duchies, give them back as normal titles, and then bury all the unhappy dukes under a viceroy king. Even if he inherits a duchy along with its counties, he now DOES give them back if he's over the demesne limit and/or has too many duchies malus. What a weird bug.
This mod crashes so much.
Can you give your checksum and try:
1) Making sure that no other mods are enabled
2) Making sure that you're running CK2 3.2.1
3) Verifying the game cache of your CK2 version
4) Redownloading the mod (possibly from another mirror)?
I've verified, reinstalled downloaded from modbb, the forums and even steam and it crashes at filling library of ynys trebes.
I see, that's a different problem. The mod doesn't seem to be compatible with certain computers, but we've never been able to identify why or what the pattern is.

Is it possible to still get the blood of Hrothgar to spawn if he dies before becoming a ruler? I'm playing as a child of his and it's already 510 but nothing. Can I cheat spawn it?
Also the Irminsul Tree building becomes inactive if you reform Norse. Is that supposed to be intentional?
No, it has to be Hrothgar specifically that becomes king to get the bloodline. If you want, you can cheat it by firing event 303101 in the console.
Yes, that's intentional (from vanilla). Tribal pillars (of which the Irminsul Tree is one) are only meant to be useful for unreformed pagans.
Thanks for response. Is the Muslim invasion of Gaul implemented yet? I notice there's a category of Islamic sects in the legder.
No, it is not.
