With this update, The Protectors is finally starting to be playable. There are two major implementations: first off, we replaced the old army limit system with the new food income system. Battles are now greater and population management is more important as an effect. Secondly, we managed to partially imitate the Warlord Battlecry 1 hero leveling up system requested by so many of you fans, partially create our own. Thus, your hero now receives 1 Ability Point (AP) per level, which can be invested in either a stat increase, a skill increase or a spell increase. Also, the spell system has been branched in this version, allowing leveling up of only the spells you like.
As for the story-lovers, we prepared a new button when selecting chapters. Upon activation, a short intro clip will be shown, with sketches and music and narrations and all the sorts. We have also fixed some scenario bugs and dialog typos.

A lot of time has been spent on an attempt to balance the races further by tweaking the units' stats. We have taken into account resistances and vulnerabilities, damage types, resource dependencies, psychological effects and more. See the documentation provided in the Manual folder for more info.
Last but not least, we have fixed several bugs reported, including the extra Fay race bug.

The Hero's should level up like WBC3 with point for stat and skill(then the skill point could be use for skills or magic with the new system then there would be no complaints)Great Game Keep it up
Interesting concept, though I was thinking of receiving more APs than 1 per level, and stats, skills, spells, perks would have different costs.
