The newest, and most likely final version of The Four Horsemen! Please ensure you have patch 1.2 for Amnesia or you will get an error - Thank you. The Four Horsemen takes you into the footsteps of Alistair, a 19th century research who has devoted his life to the study of the Four Horsemen. When the Horsemen are released on Earth, you must find a way to end their slaughter at the very place they were summoned from!
Well, this patch finally got completed! This version includes some minor bug fixing and improvements based upon feedback. The ending is still the same for people who played v1.0, but there are minor environmental tweaks and hopefully you'll find improvements to the puzzles.
Again, We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who left feedback and excellent reviews! It really meant a lot to us after spending so much time on the project. We hope you enjoy v1.1!
We recommend deleting "The Four Horsemen" from your custom stories folder before playing the new version. Unfortunately, we're unsure if save files will still work accross version, so by doing a fresh install of the mod and a new game, you shouldn't run into any issues!
Again, please leave any feedback on the new version. Although we have no plans on a v1.2, we still love to hear your thoughts for help on any future projects!

To install this mod, you need to have Amnesia: The Dark Descent installed INCLUDING patch 1.2 Justine. Then unzip the contents into amnesia/custom stories/ and enjoy!

how do i apply a update as i never have update a custom story before
The best way is to delete the old one and put in the new one. If you're halfway through a playthrough, you may have to start again, unfortunately. We're unsure how Amnesia acts with new updates, since some changes may ruin the save.
This is my first mod- so its possible I'm doing something completely wrong- but I can't get it to work.
So, I d/l the zipped file, and extract it into my programfilesx86 drive and into the amnesia/custom stories folder.
I opened the game and sure enough, the mod was in the custom stories tab. So I clicked it and selected start. I got the following fatal error, followed by a game crash:
"FATAL ERROR: Could not load script file 'custom_stories/TheFourHorsemen v1.1/maps/ch01/Intro.hps'! main(117,3): ERR: No matching signatures to 'MovePlayerForward(const uint)'
I'm running an ASUS ROG w/ NVidea Geforce GTX 660 and windows 8

Currently playing this story on version 1.0 I believe, however I wanted to say that it's an outstanding one! I've yet never thought "well this could've been done better.". Right now I can't figure what to do by the sacrifice though, so I will continue further tomorrow. Well done! Thanks for the fun!

I cant play the custom story. theres a defect in the coding with map 1 and it cant load it. it said something along the lines of (cannot load mp01.hps - cannon execute "move player forward" or something. please fix :( i really wanna play this story!)

If you have a retail copy, you might have difficulty installing the patch correctly, some people have already but I'm not sure how to bypass that issue as I only have a steam version sorry. But GL

I have encountered a bug. I gained access to the chamber where the pieces of the war orb are. I left the chamber and triggered the monster encounter. I was going to run back into the chamber with the orb pieces but the wall had closed. I collected my thrallers and replaced them in the basket but nothing happened. I was killed and it spawned me in the closed war chamber with no exit. Fix please!? I really like this custom story and would like to continue playing it.

Try clicking 'Download Now' and then when the popup is displayed hit the 'mirror' hyperlink and select another mirror. This is probably just a temporary issue with MobDB servers. Hope that helps!

I've downloaded the files and can't seem to figure out what to do next. I'm obviously new to this.
I drop throught that hole in the kitchen next to that letter and then the guy talks his dialogue as he is probably supposed to but then I keep falling out of the map and dying, spawning somewhere out of the map, dying, spawning, dying, ...
I have Justine installed, Is there a way to fix that?
