Take part in this exciting student made game which pits you and your friend in the ultimate 2 vs 2 robot battle! The only catch, you and your friend has to pilot the same robot! Each one of you gets to either control the right or left side of the robot, so coordinating is the utmost importance! Fire missiles to destroy your opponents, but beware as their sword may reflect it back at you, the game only ends when there is only one robot standing.
Rounds! Not only can you fight your friends to the death multiple times, if you kill them 4 times, you get a cool end screen!
We realized since the battles are so short, a round based system will be beneficial to our game.
The end screen captures all your stats for the round, so you know who to blame if you fail to win.
Music and Sounds! Menu Music is courtesy of Rishabh Agrawal. Addition music is from free sourced material credited in credits.txt.
We also have sounds for the treads moving, as well as louder reflect sounds.
Our playtesters found that our game lacked menu music, and that it was also hard to tell when you reflected a missile.
Closer healthpacks! Healthpacks were not being used as often as we would like, so they are now closer to the center.
Smoke and building health now generate based off how big the building is.
The UI does not clip through game objects.
The wheels are more centered so it is easier to go forward.
You cannot shoot missles when you are dead.
Death animation does not sink through ground.
Missiles shoot more consistently when button is pressed.
Scenes! Credit scene was added.
UI! Our playtester also wanted more visual effects for bashing/stunned. Stunning and Shield Bash now have in game effects.
Parsec integration is still in the works, but we hope to get it working for our final build!
Based on your feedback, there are still a few balancing changes we might make.
Do the players have too much/ too little health?
Are there too many/too little rounds?
With your feedback, we hope to make our game a more enjoyable experience
