Ever wondered why retinue system is so plain and simple? Ever wanted it to have at least tiny bit more depth? Or perhaps you wanted to disable retinues at all? Well then, this mod is what you have been looking for. This is a far better version than discontinued Retinues Redone with ability to disable retinue system.
This mod adds more depth to retinues system as well as change vanilla retinues in both: size and composition.
It is intended to work with vanilla game as well as HIP mod.
- retinues doubled in size (less micromanagement),
- feudal retinues hiring cost doubled (these are professional soldiers not peasants),
- tribal retinues cost increased by 25% (elite tribesmen are not a common thing),
- 5 new feudal retinue types,
- 3 feudal retinue types upgradable with technological development of your capital province (check screenshot above); Upgrades affect: troops composition and combat bonuses (not all soldiers are equaly good at first),
- cultural retinues require fixed technology levels to be unlocked: (national differentiality)
- Military Organization level 4,
- Noble Customs level 4,
- Majesty level 4;
- retinues as elite troops reinforce slower (training professional soldier has to take time),
- retinues cost while reinforcing (training costs and wages still have to be paid),
- retinues constant cost increased by 15% (these are professional soldiers not peasants),
- option to turn off retinues at all.
