Adds a new sandbox scenario that is crammed with as many historic factions as the map will allow for.
The mod strives to be as historically accurate as possible within the game's limitations, at the cost of balance.
The scenario contains 97 historic factions, including major ones such as Massalia, the Bituriges & Senones that were noticeably missing in vanilla, as well as a plethora of minor ones that you might never have even heard of.
Certain minor factions might represent a truly hardcore experience to play as.
Each new faction comes with historical tooltip/encyclopedia, so those who enjoy learning about the period may enjoy that as well.
You may also start off with preexisting alliances and truces, representing the political situation of ~65 BC Gaul.
The vanilla sandboxes and campaigns are unaffected by this mod and should work as normal.
PLEASE READ!
WARNING: In the faction selection screen, YOU MUST go to options - objective - faction objectives and set "capture number of cities" to "none". Failing to do so WILL result in the sandbox failing to load correctly. (This is caused by the game not being able to generate these objectives if there are factions that start with only 1 city, which occurs in this mod but not in vanilla)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To install, unzip the mod to your Documents/Longbow Digital Arts/Hegemony Rome/Mods folder. If there is no Mods folder inside the Hegemony Rome folder, simply create one.
When done correctly, the path of the mod's folder will be Documents/Longbow Digital Arts/Hegemony Rome/Mods/FristiModpack
There is also a readme file included in the .zip, which explains certain decisions made in choosing the factions for the mod. Not necessary to read unless you're interested in history.
