I present to you Morgenstern - a collection whose task is to embellish the graphical component of the game, add and fix various cosmetic good. I did not like the attitude of Paradox Interactive, to no less important aspects of the game — the flags of the countries and their names in the game, and if you share my point of view,
I suggest you subscribe to Morgenstern, that would locally fix this problem.
Fixed color correction and size of flags. I agree, very vanilla flags overlighted and stretched. No longer is Hyper compressed and nasty bleached flags banners. It seems to me that Paradoxes simply took flags from Wikipedia and inserted them on 82x52. Fixed state names: no more fancy names like " Corporate Honduras "or" Roman world of Communists and proletarians." From now on, only official and, as far as possible, adequate names for countries with alternative ideologies, alliances, etc.
+ Mod focused on quality, so you will no longer see painted or written something created not without the participation of psychotropic substances.
+ Recreated anew all the flags of all countries that are in the game, worked out literally every pixel, often had to draw everything from scratch.
+ Maximum emphasis on historicity.
+ The names of the countries are chosen as follows that era. All of them have an adequate format. Unlike vanilla, they do not spoil the impression and interfere with the gameplay.
+ Alternative flags of the countries are selected in the best accordance with their historical counterparts, you will not be familiar with the same sickles and hammers, which are actually taken from the emblem of the Communist party of China, or fascia, which are inserted almost the entire half of the countries with the new fascist regime.

The difference is, most of the flags were picked up corrected manually, all the flags are pleasing to the eye, if you open the flag file from the vanilla version of the game or from a third-party mod, where flags are added to compare their quality everything will become clear. The names are the most acceptable, but at the same time official.

No, it doesn't count. Other people have tried their best, I just borrowed their product, which is freely distributed on the Internet, adapted for the game and brought their creations to mind, someone else's intellectual property I do not give for their own and do not sell, so why not?

I couldn't. My opinion is quite objective, flags and names were created according to historical images, they should fit not only into the entourage of the game, but also directly into the events of the mid-XX century. When it comes to alternative history and where it is necessary to invent, everything tries to be similar if not to the historical similarity, then close to it exactly.

Works, but not correctly. Some flags and names are displayed correctly, but the other is overlapped by flags and names from another mod. Therefore, I do not recommend playing other modifications, where flags are added, in conjunction with Morgenstern.

The mod interacts not only with the folder "gfx", which is located in the game files, but also with the localization files in the folder "localization".

Certainly. Since many of the flags were honestly copied from various resources and I do not have full authorship for some, you have every right to freely distribute and share all these files, but if you will use these flags separately in other projects, it is advisable to indicate my authorship or provide a link to the page Morgenstern mod in Steam.
