actually more of a stealer because your getting it from someone, if its downloader then they're giving it to you.

A rather useful tool however, does it make it a little bit harder to find a skin than just looking at the online skin list? :/

Yes, hacks are. Then more hacks appear, they spread out like a wild fire then Mojang should splash out more money to cover for security.
Sure cool little program but it fiddles with client/server files, meaning it's a hack. It's almost like a name spoofer, which is a hack.
It doesn't mess with any client OR server files, and its not a hack.
It is not a hack... All skins are located at www.minecraft.net/skin/USERNAME.png . They are available for everyone. All this application does is downloading this file.

The only problem I have with this is that it can be used to impersonate administration in a server with the right combination of illegitimate programs, other than that, it's a handy resource. Want to know how someone did something with their skin? It's easy to find out now.
Just don't type in Herobrine... you will cause a time paradox... or implosion... or something... JUST... DON'T!

When i try running it, it says, "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."
I downloaded it twice and got the same result. why?
You need .net Framework 4.0
Or maby .net Framework 3.5... 4.0 is too new and the basis of Scripting had changed a little, so its more hard to script with 4.0!
(They don't have the same dependencies)
Btw, a program made for 3.5 CANNOT BE RAN if you installed 3.5 and vice-versa!
i downlaoded this and when i double click it or click run it instantly says that it is not repsonding i have tried runnign as admin but to no prevail

what language is this in? because i was thinking i could adapt it to not check the official minecraft database, but also hacked client databases

Very nice program. One recomendation: It might not be best to use a timer to set the image source :P (Yes, I use .net reflector on every program to make sure it's not a virus :P) Perhaps a refresh button or on changing of text?

When you apply the box does it change your skin or does it add it to your folder?
When you apply a skin it automaticaly opens minecraft.net with the new skin, so you only have to log in and hit apply to make it yours
