== Description and Special Features of the Modification =======

This is a Total Conversion for Quake, based in a famous japanese anime.
You will be able to take the role of one of the 3 main characters of the anime,
each one with his own different powers, strenghts and weaknesses.
You will be able to fly (In a very realistic way), to increase your KI
(The energy that you use instead of ammo), to convert into a SuperSaiyaJin
(Ultra powerful player), to teleport, to fool the other players with fake images
of yourself or even to reject the energy attacks that the other players or monsters
make to you!
Each player has his own player model, which will be seen by the other players
in a deathmatch game. Why use just different skins when you can use different
models? ;-) Also, the Quake weapons have been substituted by hands that move
according to the actions you do.
In single and cooperative modes, you will have to go through the original
ID maps searching for the Dragon Balls.
You will have to find the 7 hidden dragon balls (There is one in each level), and
when you do it you will be able to summon the dragon god that will give you
inmense powers.
In deathmatch games, there will be 7 dragon balls in the level. The player that
takes them all will get 2 extra frags and the special power. Then all the dragon
balls will be randomly spread again through the level, and each time that that
player gets a dragon ball he will get another frag. When he dies he will loose
his special power. When somebody that carries dragon balls dies, he drops them.
If nobody takes them in some seconds they will respawn again randomly in the
level. Also a player that has a dragon ball will shine and will have a 'queue' that
will become biger when he gets more dragon balls, so everybody in the game
can know that he is the guy to attack! All this makes deathmatch a new
experience and it's really fun to play.
The members of the Z-Team want to say that _any_ similarity of DBQ with the
japanese anime Dragon Ball is just a coincidence, and that the Z-Team has
nothing to do with Akira Toriyama, who, by the way, is a genius! ;-)

== The Characters =============
---------------------------------------------------
There are currently 3 playable characters in DBQ:
GOKUH =========
He is the more balanced player. His strenght, resistance, and velocity
are intermediate, making him the right choice for everybody! He can turn in a
SSJ, which makes his attacks twice powerful and make him double resistant, but
costs him a lot of KI.
Attacks he can do:
1. Punch
2. AirFist - Throw you enemies away with the strength of the air you move
with your super punch!
3. Ki Blast - A little ball of energy that costs very little KI.
4. Homing Ki Blast - A blast of energy that isn't very fast but can follow your
enemies whenever they go.
4. Advanced Ki Blast (press 4 again to toggle with the Homing KI Blast) -
A faster blast of energy that makes a lot of damage.
5. Sun Fist - Makes an intense shine of light that makes all the surrounding players
and monsters go blind for some seconds. You can only do this once each
minute, because you use the surrounding light that you must acumulate in
order to throw it later.
6. Yamucha Attack (controllable) - This is a very handy and powerfull attack.
Concentrating you KI you create a big ball of intense KI that you can
control by 'seeing' through it. It will go wherever you will conduct it.
7. Super Kame Hame Ha - The one of the coolest attack in the game, and the
most famous in the anime! A ray of energy will start from your hands and
go to the front until it touch something and literally destrois any enemy.
8. Genki Dema - The most powerful attack Gokuh can do. You harness the
universal energy, making an enormous ball that can you can throw. Nothing
can resist this attack!
Special Hability - He can teleport to a place where he has been before. For that
when he finds somewhere where he may want to come back, he must
'remember' the feeling of that place (Pressing R). Then he can teleport there
whenever he wants (Pressing G). He can only 'remember' one single place,
as he needs to know each detail of it!
Tip - Very well balanced player, use the teleport move to get the most
out of the player, charge ki in short bursts at every opportunity.
VEGETA ======
The strongest player, but the slowest too. His attacks are similar to the
Gokuh ones. He can become SSJ, but he can't teleport. Instead of that he can become berserk.

3. Super KI Blast - Similar to Gokuh's KI Blast but much faster, although much less
precise. Ideal to kill a lot of enemies that come from the same place.
4. Homing Ki Blast / Advanced Ki Blast
5. Sun Fist
6. Big Bang Attack - Similar to the Advanced KI Blast, but much faster and powerful
7. Final Flash - Like the Super-Kame, but once it hits something, you can mantain
the damaging ray for some deadly seconds.
8. Final Shine - Vegeta can make a Genki Dema, but his power is so big that once
he concentrates it all, it becomes unstable and makes an enormous explosion
that kills anything in the surrounding place, including himself! Cool in cooperative games.
G.Special Hability - He can become berserk, becoming invulnerable for a very
short time, and only once each game (i.e. each map or till he dies).
Tip - He can charge his Ki to the maximum limit. Alot of his attacks change
greatly while in SSJ mode.
PICCOLO =======
He is the 'weakest' player as he can't become SSJ. But don't get fooled
by this! He is an alien, and his body regenerates, so when he has less than 100
health points, his health will slowly increase until his health is 100. Also, he charges
his KI more quickly than the other players. His attacks are very different from the
other players, making him a very fun character to play.

3. Ki Blast
4. Particle Attack - A very fast attack, where thousands of ionized particles
come from the player's hand. You can make big burst or particles. Try
to rotate while yo do it, and hit many targets with a single burst. But be
careful! This attack can finish your KI in seconds!
5. Ultra fast attack - You move forward so fast, that you will seem to teleport!
6. Blast Cloud - Select the attack and generate as many 'clouds' of energy
blasts as you wish. Those blasts will go up and maybe stay in the ceiling.
When you push the 6 key again, all your blast clouds will be released,
and will start to find some enemies to attack. When they find them, they
will follow and hunt them. They are in fact like Pipe Bombs, but they have
they own 'inteligence' :-)
7. Masenkousonpo - Piccolo has nothing to envy to Gokuh's Super-Kame. But
as he is less powerful, he needs some time to concentrate the required
amount of energy.
8. Super Energy Attack - Piccolo's most powerful attack. Like a Big Bang but
faster and much more powerful!
G.Special Hability - He can move so fast that he can make fake images of himself
appear, confusing monsters and players. So he will become temporary
invisible. Unluckily, this is so exhausting that he can only do this once each
level/life.
Tip - Piccolo heals constantly and , his attacks use less Ki than the other players,
so try and use this to your advantage.

bulma -> Tells you how many Dragon Balls are in the level and the direction in
which the nearest DB is.

== Special Features =============
----------------------------------------------------
Pressing M anytime _during_ a game (Not in the character selection phase),
will make the Options Menu appear. Use M to browse through the different
menus and to finally hide the menu again. Pressing SPACE You can toggle the
following parameters of the game:
Chase Cam -
See the player from behind. This makes the game look really cool!
You can use the C key to toggle it too.
Automatic Mouse Handling -
If you usually have MLOOK ACTIVATED, put this feature OFF! This will make
that whenever you start flying or make a Yamucha Attack, the MLOOK will
be automatically activated, and when you stop flying or finish the Yamucha
Attack it will automatically DEACTIVATED. This is really handy when you don't
use MLOOK (Like AngelSama) but would like to be able to fly in all directions
easily, so if you don't use MLOOK, put this feature ON!
Tracking Cams -
This makes your view change when something special happens, like a
SuperKame, or when you Charge this KI. This can make you enjoy more
the 'special effects' of the game, but can be a bit disturbing in Deathmatch,
for instance.

== The DBQ Bar ============

In a normal Quake game, the status bar tells you your armor, your health
and the ammo of the current weapon you use. Also, it tells you the 'phisical'
state of your player, the weapons you have and the ammo of each weapon,
as well as all the keys or specials you have.
In DBQ you can allways do all the attacks (If you have the necessary KI), so
there is no need to display the 'attacks' you have, nor the ammo you have.
So instead of the ammo, the KI you have will be displayed.
Also, as you can choose the character you want to play, a picture of your
character will appear on the right, and in the upper bar you will see the
pictures of the DB's you have already found.

== Game Objectives ========
----------------------------------------------
In Single and Cooperative games the objective is the same. In each level
(Except the Start level), there will be a hidden dragon ball. You must find it
and go to the next level. Once you get the 7 seven dragon balls, you will
go to a special map were you will meet the dragon god that will give you
the special hability to use all the attacks of all the characters. As the DB is
hidden randomly, it may be very easy to find, or very difficult to find (And,
very rarely, just unreachable). In the cases where you can't find it, you can
allways normally end the level (killing all the monsters that appear in you
way) and go to the following level where you can start searching the DB
again. Also, if you just don't search the DB's you can play Quake normally,
but with all the new features of DBQ.
In Deathmatch, ALL the 7 Dragon Balls are spread randomly IN the level.
Players must fight each other to get all the dragon balls. You get frags for
killing the other players, like in regular Quake deathmatch, but if you get
all the dragon balls you get 2 extra frags and the special power (Which
you will have until you die). Then the 7 DB's you had are spread again in
the level, and each new DB you get while you have the special power
will give you a new frag. But be careful! when you have one or more
DB's you will shine and have a queue that follow you and lets the other
players know that you have DB's. If they kill you you will drop them, so they
are likely to hunt you! The more DB's you have, the bigger the queue is.

== Known Bugs ============

- Some (rare) times less than 7 DB's appear in a deathmatch games. In those
cases it's better to restart the game or go to the next map.
- Some (rare) times you can come back to normal state from the SSJ state and
the Quake bar won't be updated.

== Future Aditi />---------------------------------------------
Among the things we have planed to do are:
- New maps, with bosses that will have increased AI that will make them
really hard to beat.
- Bot players in deathmatch mode.
- New monsters.
- Maybe new characters.
