He,could you please give instructions of how to install this MOD as i really want to use it. I tried extrcting everything and overwriting but i just get an error when trying to run the game.
I think the issue lies with the files being ini's not big's.
Installation
Installation Guide Updated For The Rise Of The Witch-King Expansion
1) Unrar or unzip the folder "ArcadeEdition" to your main Battle For Middle-Earth 2: Rise Of the Witch-King directory.
2) In this directory, right-click on the lotrbfme2ep1.exe and create a new shortcut.
3) Right click on the shortcut you just created and select Properties. Where it says Target there will be the path where the executable for the game is located, which obviously is in your BFME2:ROTWK directory.
"E:/Games/The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king/lotrbfme2ep1.exe" <---- that is mine, yours will be different.
4) Now we will add the required commands to get this shortcut to run the game using the mod. Below you will see that after the initial command line to run the game, theres a 'space' then the -mod command, another space then the directory where the mod is placed.
You will see similarities here except that for the mod to run the last directory is changed to the folder, not the exe as is normal.
Below is how my shortcut is set up. All you need to do is modify it to read to the install directory of where your game is located.
"E:/Games/The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king/lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "E:/Games/The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king/ArcadeEdition"
I've tried that not working for me I've wanted this mod since I was 9 so I was wondering if you could add me on discord or skype so I could share screens and you could guide me through it if you could I would love playing this my discord is VorexSlices#6032 if you want my skype just message me or respond to this please add me asap if you can! thanks.
This used to be one of my favorite mods for LOTR BFME 2 ROTWK. Literally top 3 out of many. I used to use Desura, which some mope bought and then defrauded his customers. Desura was a click and play situation. No need to install, god knows where, find it, extract it, which means what, and then finally read some completely confusing instructions on how to not be able to play. No offense, but if you're going to go through trouble of modding for people, maybe go the extra foot and proved an installer or launcher. If you have instructions in English that are not vague and don't involve guessing for normal PC operators, great, i'll take them, if not, crying shame for it to sit unused.
