Three like-minded industry veterans met around a glass of baijiu. Or it might have been beer. Testimonies about that night are mysteriously hard to come by. All that's remembered is that Han shot first. After a few glasses, tongues were loosened enough for them all to realize they had a common grief against the state of the current game industry; shallow gameplay mechanics and exploitative monetization tactics are treating the gamer as if he's nothing else than an endless purse. They donned their spandexes, sent over resignation letters, grabbed their laptops, and got to work right away. Substantial Games, prodigal child of these three bright minds, was unleashed onto our world.
