After the alpha release of Encyclopedia Explosica, as work piles up, a passionate gameplay developer is needed to help achieve the project's full vision to fruition. The project is moving down the planned features list and towards a full v.1 release.
Explosica is a multiplayer educational project that takes a ‘game-first’ approach. It's a full-fledged 3D action multiplayer game - enticing the user to choose it when aiming to relax, but uses educational techniques in its core gameplay loop - having the players use, practice, and gain knowledge during their playtime, without overwhelming them.
The current iteration takes place in a medieval naval combat scenario. The goal is to move further in both educational techniques, combat applications, world expansion, and not limit itself to the current setting alone.
The game is a one-man dev effort, and as tasks mount up, it's becoming a burden best shared. As a Gameplay Programmer for an indie project, the work will span all aspects of Unity development, from writing gameplay logic to creating editor tools. There'll be design work, adding new systems to the game, and charting the future of the project.
It's an unpaid position, so requirements are lax, but nonetheless - exist.
At the moment, the project is trying to gain traction and build itself up. Should a publisher and/or funding be secured, payment is definitely on the table. For the time being however, that is not possible.
