An action-adventure game inspired on the Japanese legend of the 47 Ronin. It relies heavily on quality gameplay strongly allied with powerful storytelling.
"Nightmare of the Samurai" is a prequel to the known legend. It tells the story of our main character, a loyal samurai named Oishi Kuranosuke, who based on a premonition regarding the fate of his master's death by treachery tries to, secretively, unravel a conspiracy against him.
As for gameplay, the player will transition smoothly between two different game modes throughout the entire game. The storyline progresses in the Adventure mode where our hero interacts with NPCs, investigates the scenario for clues and items, and fights groups of enemies that require some tactics and skill to be beaten. When in the Adventure Mode our hero comes across a boss the game automatically reverts to Duel Mode, where he will face the opponent one-on-one in an intense combat that requires a lot of skill and the smart use of combat tactics and powers.
