Crystal Wolf Studios, the team behind Northern Ireland Crysis, is currently looking for talented character modellers to join our team. Primarily, our aim is to produce portfolio work for team members, that will hopefully get them into the industry, while at the same time, producing something that is thought provoking, and shows parts of NI as how it was through the soldiers' eyes, along with not being biased - something which is lacking in modern media regarding the subject.
We are currently developing for the Cryengine2, using it's superb graphics and physics engine to develop something new, that hasn't been done before - that has to be done.
Our team is made up those new to the modding scene, and industry professionals, all striving to make this product the best, and to cause as much impact on the player as possible.
As a character artist, your job will involve making brand new NPC, and PC, models for use in the project - such as hands, heads, legs, etc.
The story begins in the ending months of 1983. Northern Ireland, and in particular County Armagh and County Down, have been wracked by recent attacks on the Police, the Army, and the civilian populace, which is believed to be due to a recent split in the Provisional IRA, with the hardliner's splitting to form their own paramilitary organisation, due to the recent appearance of PIRA bending more towards a peaceful solution, rather than one of violence.
You take the role of Sgt. John Casey, a member of the British Special Boat Squadron, the maritime equivalent of the SAS. You, and an 8 man patrol have been sent to the province in an attempt to cripple the new splinter group, via tracking down, and eliminating or capturing their leadership, before there are further attacks. The threat has to be eliminated, before it is too late.
Skills needed:
* Able to use 3DS Max 9, or XSI to a good standard, and have prior knowledge of how to use the software.
* Able to work to 2 week deadlines.
* Willing to learn about the background of the subject that we are attempting to cover (The Troubles in Northern Ireland)
Bonuses:
