Smiling Buddha Games is a partnership between Brent "brentalfloss" Black and Julian Spillane. Longtime friends, Brent and Julian had been looking for a project to work on for quite some time. Brent, a huge fan of party games and a veteran comedian approached Julian in 2015 with a concept. They quickly put together a crude prototype to test its viability and then started development. The team's first game, Use Your Words, was successfully Kickstarted in May of 2016 and from that point a team was hired and proper production began.
