Located in Boucherville on the shores of the St-Lawrence river near Montreal, Artifice Studio is an independent video game company founded in February 2010. Its permanent staff is composed of six people. Currently working on Legends of the Round Table, a unique narrative RPG that invites you to delve in a faithful, period-accurate adaptation of the tales of King Arthur. Sang-Froid is the first title developed by Artifice Studio. Some of the team members past achievements include SPORE Wii, Army Of Two and Boogie Superstar. The mission of Artifice Studio is to create video games with innovative mechanics and elaborate universes.

Set in a legendary Canada, Sang-Froid combines action, strategy and RPG elements with a deep storyline co-written with Bryan Perro, bestselling author of Amos Daragon (www.bryanperro.com/en).
Two brothers must put aside their differences in order to save their sister from the clutches of evil. Each day, they prepare their strategy and lay out traps in the surrounding forest. Then, during each night, they must fight werewolves and other creatures sent by the Devil using a large variety of traps, axes and muskets.
Because the creatures you fight against are generally far stronger than you are, rather than just hacking & slashing them, the gameplay revolves much more around planning the right strategies and luring your enemies into traps using bait and the wind. Fear also plays a large role in the gameplay, as you can intimidate your enemies with fire and magic.
