What the Uninitiated consider a ‘sixth’ sense, is really one of the five that is preternaturally focused, allowing interaction and exposure to the paranormal. A glance against the Otherside can happen by chance or because of the strength of the ghost, but there are people out in the world with a cardinal sense that kept growing, evolving. Reaching towards the Otherside. These are people with a 'Sense'. And Caddie Armont is one of them.
Turning our webtoon into a game! Our team is looking to fill missing roles for a VN adaptation of the first arc from Aura Ambit, a supernatural horror comic about high schooler Caddie, with the Sense of Sight, who typically does her best to look the other way from ghostly things. Unexplained violence rocks her town, forcing an investigation from the international paranormal bureau, the Spectres.
Our team leader, Mazzie May, was the writer and occasional artist of the comic! We have a co-writer to help adapt the story down. A location is decided, character designs are done, a lot of the tough calls have already been made! While we can produce sprite art, we would happily pass the reins to someone more experienced with VN art. So! We are looking for...
BG Artist: takes place almost entirely in a high school, with few totally unique backgrounds.- Programmer: we have minimal experience with Ren'Py but several elements we would like to incorporate. Such as map navigation, inventory and item use, and character switching. If you're more interested but more comfortable in another engine, please still apply!
Composer: looking for ambient horror/mystery, with more intense tracks for specific plot beats.Sound Designer: Environmental and UI sound effects, as well as some supernatural effects
