Behind proxy, "Did not get any data from mcf server. [18.0]" | Locked | |

I get the following errors in the console whenever I try to install a game:
I'm behind an http proxy, but I went through several iterations with the sysadmins to open ports and set the correct rules for all connections that were blocking. Regarding the specific error above, I can even connect to Us6.dl.desura.com:62003 in my browser (which prompts me with a username and password), so that confirms that no firewall is blocking it. Besides installing games every other feature in the client seems to work. I'd appreciate some help from you desura devs, as I think I've done everything I can on my end. Edit: To help diagnose the problem, here's a complete capture I did with wireshark of the whole TCP conversation between Desura client, proxy and Desura servers. Edited by: metatoaster |

There's a chance it's not proxy but the server problem detailed here: Moddb.com If that's the case, you just need to wait for the fix. |

I tested again today since Desura supposedly received fixes, but the problem persists. |

We are aware of issues on US4/US5/US6 and working to resolve ASAP. Can you please test this now and let us know if its better? -- Greg M |

Are you still behind a proxy? Can you open Us4.dl.indiedb.com:62003 in a web browser? -- Greg M |

Yes, I'm still behind a proxy. us4 seems to be offline i.e. proxy says it doesn't respond, but I can reach us5 and us6 in my browser on port 62003. EDIT: Well, any news on this? Steam works behind this proxy, as well as about 30 various multiplayer/online games, so I can't believe Desura can't run as well. Edited by: metatoaster |
