Hi, my name is Jacbil Gobbet...

Welcome to my server ya'll!

This is the first issue of my newspaper called Jacbil Gambit.

See, I've been playin this whichmacallit... video game... called Minecraft. I like it. I like it a lot. Now my owners don't know that I play those video game things on their magic boxes. Ya'll might be confused right now so let me explain.

I am a garden gnome.

Yep, that's right. I spend my days and nights giving tender lovin care to a garden outside of my owner's home. You humans always get scared when I try to talk to you, so most of the time I just stand still, lookin' pretty. But standin still all of the time gets borin'. So while those humans are off at work, I play games.

My humans are named Josh Bolan, he's a programmer guy goin' by JMBDesign; Matthew Scott Cohen, an artist and owner of Autonomic Interactive; and Chuck O'Bren a.k.a Ceosol. They must be vain or sumthin because they named me Jacbil after themselves - JMB/AI/Ceosol first and last letters equals J A C B I L. They also really like that Minecraft game and called me Gobbet because it relates to Notch. It also means a chunk of flesh - there is some humor in that, I'm sure. There you have it, I am Jacbil Gobbet, a garden gnome that likes video games.

The Jacbil Gambit

I am creatin' my own special server for ya'll to play on. I want to mod the server for my own enjoyment. For instance, all of that 3D stuff gives me a headache, so I am making it all flat-like. But all of the cool things you would expect will still be there. Here are some of the very early houses that I have been makin for fun:

The server growth

I have a lot more plans for tweakin' the server for ya'll. I guess what it boils down to how much of a followin I can get. If I am runnin around alone, it won't be any fun. If ya'll are really interested in this here thing, I will shoot for the moon - howlin' all of the way.

That there was an inside joke that I'll bring ya'll in on next issue.

Keep tendin' those gardens, my fellow gnomes.
