I decided to put IPSA up on ModDB/IndieDB. Also updating it!

So I decided to put Interstellar Planet-Ship Adventures: The Search for… $@#% Aliens!!!!!! up on ModDB/IndieDB. Mostly I did this because I was curious as to how the whole process for putting stuff on ModDB and IndieDB went.

It's kind of cool that you can publish straight off of your ModDB or IndieDB profile straight to Desura. And the process of getting stuff up here is pretty straightforward and easy, other than the possible wait of several days for a moderator to approve your submission.

However, I didn't only put the game up here to have it up here. I plan to go back and expand and to make it better. I'm finally going to try and put in the AI that I never did to make the game less of a pain to play.

Oh, and don't mind the preview pictures. I just threw some stuff together to have the upload requirements. I'll probably replace it soon.

Note: You'll probably notice that at this point in time, the game is pretty hard to play and a bit obtuse. The main things I want to do with the new updates are:

  1. Make a few things look better (the interface, the planet, etc).
  2. Make a scripted tutorial.
  3. Fix the AI so that they don't get stuck on buildings all the time.

Then, once all that is done, I'll see about making it into something closer to what I originally wanted to make it into: An open-world space game, where your ship was an entire planet that relied on strategy and micromanagement inside an RPG-like metagame.
