Based on feedback from the players I've added ticking and clicking sounds for mechanical platforms to help the player know when they are safe or unsafe to jump on. I've also used this opportunity to finish their code, so now they will start the countdown and drop the player even if they are hanging from the edge and not actually standing on the platform itself. More natural and believable this way, but I've also laid ground (well, code) for Goblin to change states when interacting with future disappearing platforms.
