A little over 6 months ago we first presented to you CELLAR - a pixel art puzzle-adventure game. We released a demo version and following up on that we quickly announced a new demo version for all 3 target platforms. Aside from some major design changes we also announced going into Steam Greenlight. Since then, we went dark.
Probably not the best start, but a start anyway. Short story here is that we wanted to change a lot of things in CELLAR. With that in mind, we realized we won’t be able to build a new demo and promote the game while making it. No, first we wanted to actually make the game and ensure high quality of our release version. And I dare say that we did.
We changed nearly everything about the game since some of you first saw it. We changed the pacing, revised our level design, altered some mechanics, improved the story and added tons of new art and features. In the meantime, Vertical Skull Games was founded. And now, we’re finally ready to proudly present to you CELLAR - our very first game.
