News Update 6/6/2014 - Boring Man

Hey there! I've noticed a lot of people asking about gold weapons and unlocking, heres the score:

• You earn the ability to unlock gold weapons after you've unlocked every weapon in the game.
• Gold weapons are purely aesthetic. They are NOT any more powerful then the regular weapons.
• If you don't like the gold weapons, you can turn them off in bm_settings.ini by setting GoldWeapons to 0. (You can find bm_settings in your AppData/Local folder under BoringManGame)
• After you unlock all weapons, there is a 25% chance you unlock a random gold weapon every time you level up
• Your max XP to level up maxes out at 9999, so it will generally take the same time to level up when you reach this point.
• I'm trying my best to make each weapon fun and balanced, which is why unlocking weapons is entirely random, none of the weapons in this game are suppose to be "bad" or "shitty". You should be able to effectively use all 60 of them, one way or another. (except Pineapple maybe :F)

In relation to that last bullet point, I have updated the weapons survey. In the survey, you vote for which weapons are over-powered or under-powered. If I see a trend in the voting, I will balance the weapons.You can use the survey here.

I will reset the survey after every update, so if you still feel a weapon is broken, you'll have to vote again after each update.

Anyways, I recently started a new job, and in the middle of planning on moving to a new apartment, so I've been a little distracted lately. Things are starting to settle down now, and despite working full time now, I should be able to work on a little update this weekend that fixes a few bugs I've noticed and addresses issues that are found in the weapons survey.

I will also finally start planning a little community tournament, for fun. It will be held during the weekend, but not sure which one yet. If you win, you will get a spot in the Hall of Fame next update, and will win a $25 (or whatever amount) steam gift code. Sign ups should be available soon.
