Because version 3 through 5 was so horrible, I thought "why not skip a few?" so I did. I skipped 3 whole versions. DRP ver. 6 aims to provide you with the ultimate cinematic experience for Garry's Mod, complete with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen; (of course, these are optional)
--Comments from maker--
Hello, and thank you for downloading Dellingham's Reshade Preset ver. 6 (abbreviated: DRP v6) In this short text document are
instructions for installation, side comments and notes. Let's get right to the point:
--Installation instructions--
If this is your first time using Reshade, congratulations! Make sure you're using Reshade version 4.9.1 (I'm not sure if this is compatible with more recent versions)
If this is not your first time using Reshade and you know everything, close this document, you're wasting your time.
Here's how to install the preset on the x86-64 bit branch:
Assuming you've already installed Reshade, go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\win64" (without the quotation marks)
and drag and drop "Dellingham's Reshade Preset v6.ini" into the win64 folder (which you're already in.)
Here's how to install the preset on the regular branch:
Assuming you've already installed Reshade, go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod" (without the quotation marks)
and drag and drop "Dellingham's Reshade Preset v6.ini" into the GarrysMod folder (which you're already in)
Congratulations, you've successfully installed DRP v6! If you read all the instructions carefully and have attempted twice,
send me a DM @ "Bill Fredrickson Dellingham IV#2005" on Discord. If you do not have Discord, send me an email at
"billthegamerboy@gmail.com" (I MADE IT YEARS BEFORE I HAD A YT CHANNEL, SHUT UP!!!!!)
--Things to note--
One of the effects that is not included with Reshade is "cFrameBlending" which is an effect to mimic well... frame blending.
If you have no idea what that is, watch Freeman's Mind. Frame Blending is an editing software technique for motion blur and makes videos look smoother.
cFrameBlending blends frames in real-time. I like to keep the intensity around 420-430 (haha weed number NO! STOPPPPP!!!!)
I would not recommend using Pascal's RTGI effect because that just makes stuff look shitty. Instead, for a more subtle effect,
use RadiantGI. It's a more subtle version of SSGI (Screen-Space Global Illumination. (basically the same as Pascal's "RT"GI))
