Hey everyone! So, you probably heard about the recent release of Deltarune Chapter 2, and I know what a lot of you are probably thinking: "Hey ToughSun, when are you gonna make chapter 2 of this mod?" To that, I say be patient. This is possibly going to take a lot longer than chapter 1 did for a multitude of reasons.
First and foremost: UndertaleModTool (the program I use to make this project) doesn't yet support GME 2.3 and higher. Deltarune Chapter 2 was made in GME 2.3 (or a higher version) and UMT doesn't currently have support for it (well, there is an experimental branch, but it has limited support.) Because of this, I can't yet tinker with the source code of Chapter 2.
Second, once UMT does eventually support GME 2.3 and higher, it's going to take me a while to understand all the new code. From what I have been able to find in the experimental branch of UMT, there's HUNDREDS of new files I'll need to dig through just so I can try to patch out any new bugs that may have been introduced and so I can port over all my original code from the Chapter 1 demo.
Finally, I'll need to get Nikki Asdo from GameBanana to help me with making a set of sprites that turn Kris into Frisk for the entire chapter, especially since all of the sprites have probably been jumbled around on the sprite sheets.
So, for those of you wanting chapter 2 of this project, please be patient. Good things come to those that wait.
