Website launched today, can now go back to work on the features we want to show you at the end of the summer.

Hello everybody,

For the last few weeks, we worked a lot on the website to provide us an identity and existence on the web, and it's finally public.
We now are going back to work on our code, textures and texts to build something more than a set of tools and engines: a game !

The website

The game website

The new website

Here it is! After an intensive use of Bootstrap and Rails, and hard work on the logo, we are happy to present it to you.
The site features a dev blog in wich we will post many considerations about various stuff. Some will be viewable on IndieDB, some will not, and vice-versa. Do not hesitate to visit us from time to time at untold-universe.com.

Current work

Text at the horizon

Running 1280x800 on an old Linux computer

As we would like to show a playable game with some of the most basic and essentials features at the and of the summer, we are going back to code!

Philippe, the guy working on the servers is already installing the computers our school gave us for a few months to make some tests. I lost him minutes ago under a pile of network cables.

Florian, the bear working on procedural generation tries to make our planets look better, and to generate different biomes, like terran, red deserts, etc... Actually he is currently trying to put back some high cliffs of sand that appear now and then on the surface, back into the sea.

Quentin, our artist, is lost in thoughts and considerations about the color of grass. And about big pixels and cubes. In a few words, he is working on our textures.

Guillaume, our game designer, is writing the background story for the game, to give it a soul. We are all trying to limit him on his considerations about astrophysics and conspiracies!

And last but not least, me, namely Guillaume as well, am working on writing a IndieDB news. Well, you know that. But I also am the 3D engine developer, working on blending for trees, drawing a sun, and more importantly making starships fly. Because they are meant to.

Now you know the team !

We will come back to you soon with updates on our work, goodbye until then!
