We are now on strong changes and improvements on EFFING DEAD. The indiegogo campaing, comments, videos, discussions made us thinking that we should try to expand our game mechanic with some new and different approaches and maybe try a new art style with some shader. The gfx direction for us was good, but we are only 2(½) and the "realistic" style take us too much time with not so high results as we would like to have... so: time to step back and open a new door. :)
The game now is really different from what you have played BUT you can see a progression right now on the "old" version: the ragdoll on enemies hit. It's weird, funny but also creepy, sometimes... and the animations are sure smoother then the original ones. ;)
We think that with the next news we will show the new art direction and maybe some new features that we thought are interesting, different and sure amazing to play.
Iit's some kind of "Chapter 2" and, btw, it's also possible that we change the game name. You know, if things change, maybe it's good to call them with a different name.

I'm definitely downloading the beta. You must be excited to get rid of stale death animations. I'm hoping it will be scary. There's a lot of psychological tricks you can use on players. For instance, just using a dim green light for a certain situation can make a player uneasy and imply sickness.
