I have finally got round to making my first proper trailer for Kenshi. I thought I wouldn't have enough of the game features together yet to make a video, but it turns out I did.
I have spent most of my time lately playing the game and balancing the combat stats and items. Theres now about 240 swords and something like 50 kinds of armour too. I've had a lot of fun making a high-level character and watching him wipe out an army and then limp away through a field of corpses. In the final game there will be blood everywhere, characters with wounded legs will be able to crawl, and you'll be able to carry your wounded guys to safety.
A very amusing trailer. I am quite impressed with how far things seem to have progressed since the last alpha though. I really have got to try it when it becomes available.
So are you still thinking about adding slavery? I wanna carry my wounded enemies to safety and then make them carry all my building materials!
And it'd also be cool if you could just get some enemies to join you by showing them mercy or something. Turn the enemy's own soldiers against them and whatnot.

How not finished would you say it was? It looks really good, kind of mount & blade meets Civ meets Stalker, but not massively polished. Is this Alpha footage?

I am definitely going to by this when it comes out, after seeing all the stuff in the trailer I am amazed your only in the Alpha stage. Though I must ask out of curiosity, when you create a fraction is there some sort of diplomatic feature, like alliances and such? Just wondering
There will be, later on, and it won't be a simple like<->dislike factor either, there will also be separate variables for fear, respect, anger, trust. So for example, if a faction is on peaceful terms with you purely because they fear you, they will be opportunistic and stab you in the back when you are vulnerable or team up with your enemies.

"Sword fights" "Explore" "Flee" - Well those make sense.
"Get beaten up" - WTF!
"Get fixed" - Not like it would say "Go die"
"Find allies" "Get stronger" - And get revenge. Do not forget get revenge.
"Wander" "Buy" - Standard stuff.
"Steal" - WHAT.
And i guess the rest is pretty normal. Why is "Get stronger" used twice?

I find myself enjoying your placeholder dialogue more thoroughly than I probably ought to.
