First Deco-inspired downloadable content for Cities: Skylines to feature creations from one of the game's talented modders.

Our friends over at Paradox Interactive have some great news for all Cities: Skylines players with the release of the first DLC featuring creations direct from the modding community. Titled 'Content Creator Pack: Art Deco', the pack will include a select of Deco-inspired buildings from community creator Matt "Shroomblaze" Crux. These are not simply re-skins but entirely new and original creations that will funnel support back into the thriving Cities: Skylines modding community.

Below is a sneak-peak of just some of the many building renders as a taste of what's to come along with some words from the DLC creator, Schroomblaze.

“After over 3,400 hours in Cities: Skylines, it’s wonderful to have my own buildings become part of the game’s landscape. Because the Art Deco era is so highly regarded as one of the best building styles of history, I think it needs to be represented as such. I made the suggestion to Paradox Interactive and they allowed me to come up with the buildings of my choice. I’m eager to see what the rest of the community thinks of them.”

Other community creators will be highlighted in upcoming packs planned for the near future and with over 90,000 pieces of community-created content available for Cities: Skylines it's always great to see the creations of the modding community embraced by the original game developers! The Content Creator Pack: Art Deco will be available for Cities: Skylines players next week, and for more information on the DLC head on over to the official page.

yes-to bring in the own 3d models in a game you love is the greatest feeling-but it is hard-very hard-you need help from people that have done it and even then it maybe dont work

Lovely. Does this feature only housing and commerce, or is there some era-appropriate industry and other utilitarian structures too?

I'd just like a DLC that brings the game to the 1920s and 30s that way EVERYTHING can look Art Deco!
