Maybe you already read it at the website, but this isn't a one-man mod, born only a few days back :)

We were proud of celebrating our 3rd anniversity this year. Yes, it's long and nothing has been released yet, except a aprils fools demo :-) . But the reason for this is that we are all a bunch of perfectionists and we have always redone what have already been finished :)

But now the final result must not hide itself behind anything. Alone the prologue with 5 campaign-missions and a couple of simulators missions features not only highpoly models in an upgraded freespace engine, but also a big storybook and more than 500 recorded voicelines from fans and some professional voice actors too.

As for the team, since none of them is registered here, I can't add them to the profile, so I want to introduce the core-team to this community (though there are even some more members, which try to submit their limited freetime to this project also, and over a dozend of skilled voice actors.

Tolwyn - In 2001, Wing Commander Saga was first proposed as a mod for Conquest: Frontier Wars. After learning that C:FW was practically unmodable, WC Saga slipped into limbo, although several attempts were made to revive it as a Homeworld or Starshatter mod. In 2002, Wing Commander Saga found new life as a total conversion mod for Freespace 2.

As one of its co-founders, Tolwyn has been with Wing Commander Saga since its inception, and has been its constant advocate to make sure it makes its way out of his dreams and in to reality. As the project leader, Tolwyn maintains the WC Saga website, renders 3d animations and models, creates 2d graphics, addresses scripting issues, edits sound, coordinates team efforts, and much more.

When he is not busy with Wing Commander Saga, Tolwyn pursues a degree in medieninformatik at Munich University. Tolwyn would like to thank the entire Wing Commander Saga team for working so hard that he can finally stop worrying!

Starman - Starman is the C/O of the project and 2d/3d artist. He is the guy who creates ships and converts finished models into the game engine. Plus he makes FRED missions in his off time. He's always on the move searching for new helpers, providing work and information for other team members and usually he does many different tasks at once.

Gevatter Lars - One of the original members of the WC Saga Team, Lars likes to model, to do some 2D stuff and experiments with CGI.

Lynx - Along with Starman, Lynx provides the modding muscle behind WC Saga. He is resident texturing artist, lead 2-d artist and 3-d model specialist. Lynx is responsible for making all of those marvelous looking capships and fighters. With a severe attention to detail, Lynx's ships are hardcore enough to satisfy the most hardcore WC fan.

Viper61 - Viper is an assisting Tech Advisor and one of the story writers. He works with psych in creating an unbiased, completely fair and balanced, and politically correct storyline that is considerate to the personal and civil rights of every WC fan, regardless of race, gender, orientation, and intelligence.

Sphynx - By day, Sphynx is a psychotherapist in the new field of Medical Family Therapy, a husband, and a father. By night, he is a voice actor, a writer, and a beta tester who has contributed to various projects in the Wing Commander, Freespace, and Star Wraith universes.

Roy Fokker - Roy is the lead mission designer, and is the primary guy in charge of making the Wing Commander Saga missions. The fact that he has made so many high-quality missions is eclipsed by the fact that he is relatively new to the team.

Ed - Ed Bradshaw joined the team relatively late having not checked with the WC community for a while. Ed contributes sound editing skills and will be working on all the audio for the cutscenes including music..

DaBrain - DaBrain is helping the team as a 2d artist, while he is trying to improve his 3d modelling and sound editing skills. He loves Wing Commander as much, as he loves big, flashy explosions. Appart from the scifi stuff, he is very interested in Japan, animes and Philosophy. Working on (too) many things at the same time is his major weakness.

Gai Daigoji - In real life, a massive fan of Mecha anime, Gai is the CEO of Vindication Software. A company created with friends from his old university, they strive to create a new gaming experience for all RPG players around the world. He has contributed to a number of fan-made projects; from things such as Freespace 2, Half-Life 2 and Doom 3. He works as a FREDder and mission designer from the Wing Commander Saga.

So, I hope this give you some deeper inside into the mod and the team, and motivate some of you to join our team.
