Terrablox isnt another minecraft clone, its a creativity game made by Jack Oatley, about building in world made of blocks. Its part of building games, and being inspired by the game Minecraft. The game is in high, infinite developement state and made on Game Maker so there can be bugs and release date is delayed. Every update gives more fixes and changes. It doesnt have crafting, large terrain but it has great gameplay, fun, and graphics and mostly performance. It also gives you texture pack, and skin change possibilities (currently supports 64x64!) Enyoy this game as it is now, and be active check logs everyday!

Ok, here is the thing why Terrablox isnt an clone, it is build on Game Maker. Game Maker isnt really handy to handle so much stuff, but you know what? It does handle with some experience with it.
So today i checked Terrablox site as i daily do, and saw a new Jack's post:
OK, I know I haven't been on here in a long time, and I apologise for the messages I failed to reply to. I recently left a comment on the Terrablox game page on YoYoGames sandbox, stating that I wasn't going to update Terrablox any more. This is true, but don't get me wrong, I really did want to. So this here is my explanation of my reasons why and what my plans are now.
Terrablox was going really well once apon a time, with very regular updates. My aim was to give you as much customisation as possible, and was going to introduce game-play modes. The big update I spoke of was in the works. But then I applied for this job at YoYo Games and got it. Since then everything has been a bit hectic and I haven't had the time I used to have. And because I had to move, and I didn't bring much, I haven't got the same computer power either. Another problem is that the code-base for Terrablox isn't the prettiest thing in the world, which further slows down development. Terrablox was just my experiment because nothing like it had been done in GameMaker before (yet now it's been overdone), but people wanted more, so all the new stuff was kind of fudged in. I know I can do better.
I was talking to peps1992 today, who often knows more about what I do before I know it myself, and we was talking about Terrablox. Which got me looking here again. And I decided that I couldn't let something that inspires so much creativity die. I get such a kick when looking at the things you guys create and that has to be able to carry on. So I've decided to create a new Terrablox, from scratch. Now, this may still take a while, what with the time constraints. But; the code-base will be cleaner (meaning that eventually updates will be easier), there will be TWO new key game features (secret for now, but they won't call this a minecraft clone again!), it'll be more flexible and allow for bigger maps, and I'd like to somehow involve you all more in the development.
Now, I'll keep you posted on how I'll do this, I'm all a bit hazy on it myself. But I thought you'd like to know that this ain't over! Terrablox must go to new heights, heights that no one could have imagined! :P
