Once Was King is a medieval platformer featuring a greedy king named Edward. It is built in the classic 8-bit nes style and is designed to be played with a gamepad. OWK focus is on level designed challenges, the gameplay style is most similar to Super Mario but without the run button and includes double-jump instead. Enemies are slain by jumping on their heads. The game is unforgiving for those who like to do quick run- throughs and is reminiscent of 80's style gameplays.
