Nyrthos is an action RPG for web browsers, Anroid and iOS. The game is built on an in-house engine, in 2D, seen from an isometric view. Besides the typical RPG routine that orders players to „travel, fight, loot, upgrade, craft, and consume story“, every hero will be also given the opportunity to buy himself a house, found his own village, manage it, gain more income resources and honor and in the end, be able to progress even further in the game. The will to survive will be greatly rewarded, as the strong players will usually be the ones to uncover previously undiscovered locations. Still, all the players together will have the power to decide the flow of important events in Nyrthos. We have the whole programming background ready to expand on the concept and the game will be developed continously, adding new features and expanding in many different ways.

Your website says that this game is able to be played independent of Facebook, but provides no such link. Where might I find this link? Thanks.

I second that, I was dissapointed to see I'd need to make a facebook account to play, something which I am unfortunately not prepared to do.

Furthermore, if you are designing this game to be browser based have you considered releasing it in the chrome webstore? This would allow people to subscribe to Nyrthos through the chrome browser, but it would also allow people who own Chromebooks to play your game on their devices, which currently have a very limited selection of games to play.

Hi guys,

we‘re working on a version that will be playable without the FB login, so please, stick with us.

The Chrome webstore is actually an awesome idea. We'll definitely look into it - there is no reason not to do it!

Thanks for the feedback, btw. There are quite many people that refuse to try the game as it is on facebook, something that we didn‘t really forsee. We‘ll just have to take care of it.

Hi!
Your game looks very promising indeed! I have no FB-account however and I'm no friend of social media at all. Is there a way to get a download of the Beta(I'm no fan of games where I have to be online)? I would really love to try it out and give you feedback!
Cheers!

Hi there!

Thanks for the kind words.

There is unfortunately no way to "download" the game as it is browser-based (though we might release it as a stand-alone offline app when we have all the content ready).

Anyway, at the moment, we‘re working on a browser-based version that will allow you to register in a standard way (no FB required), so hopefully, that will make it much more convenient for you :)

Well, after a huge amount of optimization, we managed to solve most of the issues. Also, google finally made some improvements so flash in chrome got actually usable :)
