My current update on Kitty along with a nice clarification on the nightmarish dimensions you will be exploring!

HELLO FELLOW GAMERS AND HORROR FANS!
What do you look for when you explore new and strange places? You look for something exciting, something different, and something to help satisfy your curiosity... But you know what they say, "Curiosity killed the cat..."
I'd imagine that you all are very eager to hear what sort of places you will be visiting in Kitty. I've talked about monsters, bosses, puzzles, and abilities in the past but this time around I am here to discuss the alternate worlds and dimensions you will be visiting. Same as always, I strive to deliver you these updates spoiler free! (I promise! No April Fools shenanigans! This is legit! :D)

The first thing I want to explain is that there is a place in this game that connects all the other worlds and dimensions (Think of it as the hub world). You will be revisiting this place many times in the game (it will be recognizable by it's interior) but you will NOT however, be in the same location from where you had left to visit another world. These "portals" you use, are very unstable so expect to be appearing in different areas all over this massive hub world (Basically, don't expect any ridiculous backtracking).

The next thing I want to mention is the interesting choice of perspective and size comparisons I chose in Kitty. I thought it would be interesting and fun to make the player seem tiny in comparison to these massive worlds and bosses (I am in love with Dark Souls so that should be enough to explain myself haha). I want you to seem like you were in a world intended for otherworldly giants. With this, it creates a greater sense of accomplishment once you start taking down gigantic monsters that are massive in comparison to you.

Finally, the last thing I wanted to mention to you is theme and style. I mentioned before that I strive for something original/iconic as oppose to following conventions. I stayed true to this oath when I designed the worlds. Things will surprise you. Keep in mind, these are different dimensions you are traveling to... Anything can happen... You could arrive at a place where the laws of physics don't apply or what you think is right, could be completely wrong. Now with this in mind, imagine what horrifying creatures await you in a world where anything can happen!

As for an update on where I am on the development of Kitty, I have temporarily stopped with making levels so I could take a moment to add polish and slightly recreate levels on the things I have already created! I want to make Kitty look like it was professionally done and let me tell you, the game looks so much better now that I've stopped to fixed a few things! I may be slowly approaching the release date but at least Kitty will look amazing when it is finished!

P.S. Check out the new screenshot of the first major enemy you will be facing in Kitty! The terrifying Mr. Snuggles! He sure is spooky!
