Goliath was made as a final project by students in the final year of the Graduate Diploma of Game Development course at Media Design School in Auckland, New Zealand' The core concept of Goliath is that you get to play as one of a team of 16 players controlling Mad Max style road warrior vehicles against a gigantic seemingly invincible Battle Tank known as Goliath' This is a role reversal from a lot of games where you are the unstoppable force able to fight your way through many enemies' This means that the initial experince is a quite different from other games' The traditional strategy of charging in solo all guns blazing doesn’t work too well for Goliath' Instead a more subtle approach is required with an emphasis on working with your teammates' The other main feature we wanted to build in when designing Goliath is that you are able to play multi player cooperatively with up to 16 of your friends with the same missions in both single player and multiplayer' We also wanted to create...
