Many changes and improvements await you in this new version of "Cypress". Instructions: Extract, then CD to the extracted directory and run "./cypress.bin". (You will need to have installed SDL, SDL-IMAGE, SDL-GFX, SDL-TTF, and SDL-MIXER. Some Linux users may get an error message about not being able to load SDL-GFX. If this happens, try choosing the CONTINUE option. I am working on a fix.) If you still have trouble getting Cypress to run on Linux, try running the Windows version under Wine.
Please keep in mind that this is a work-in-progress demonstration, and some assets are non-final. Rough edges are to be expected. The game may also crash or exhibit other problems. Please report issues to me at dto@blocky.io.
What's new in Cypress 0.99?
- The new magic spell "Hold Creature" paralyzes the nearest enemy for a short period.

What was new in Cypress 0.98?
- You can now save your quest progress at Waystones. Talk to Arturo
Pentaquin and he'll tell you about them. This should make it easier
for you to explore the in-progress main quest. There is only one
save slot, and it'll be overwritten when you save.
- To resume your saved game, double-click the new Stone of
Remembrance just after the game startup screen.
- Dire wolves have been added. These are very dangerous to the
player.
- Grave hags are more aggressive.
- Ginseng and firewood are slightly more plentiful.
- Conversation UI is much larger now, meaning fewer pages to flip.
- Geoffrey's verbal messages about cold and hunger have been reduced.
