Based in Australia
May 31 2018
Australia didn’t know it then, but in 1932, she would declare war against an enemy that would bring shame to her people for generations. Almost 90 years later, a game is made to commemorate this loss in the most realistic fashion to explain why a great country like Australia would lose to birds. You will begin by playing as a conscripted Australian soldier on your way to your first mission. Will you and your buddies survive? Fight against swarms of aggressive emus trying to take over the nation. Missions include protecting farms and suburbs from the ravaging enemy, eradicating the sickening genetic experimental projects of the wicked emu scientists, storming a fortified bunker-stained beachhead and much more far-out, radical scenarios! Each mission will contain opportunities for upgrades and power-ups making your game-play experience different and unpredictable. Even your enemies can be affected by these items! Complete the game and you will be rewarded with Emu Mode! See what it was like to be the enemy but be careful that you never forget your human side!
Emu War! began as a small scaled project to allow us to refine our development and learn more so that we can implement them in a larger-scaled project such as Huntsmen, (a simulation sandbox set in post civilisation Australia). Emu War! started off as a wave-shooter but over the course of development it has grown into more of an open-world action shooter gaming experience.
- The most realistic portrayal of Australia’s most shameful military loss.
- Create havoc when you play as the enemy through Emu Mode!
- Earn your keep! Upgrade your weapons, purchase vehicles to aid your mission.
- You have the option to choose between missions or explore the open world.
