The Devil's Calculator, named a Top 10 Indie at Pax West, is a math puzzle game based on a narrative in which an evil calculator has had its normal arithmetic operators replaced with sadistically obscure functions. Using logic and a bit of algebra, you must work backwards to find the equation for the "number of the beast," 666, at each level. Innovative and addicting, this indie game will appeal to numberphiles and math novices alike. The first 20+ levels are free to play. Higher levels, including the ability to submit levels, require an in-app purchase. Promotional codes will be available to educators and students so that they may submit levels without buying the second part of the game. Our DLC showcase features levels made by teachers and renowned mathematicians, including James Grime of Numberphile and James Tanton of the Global Math Project. Purchases benefit Cinq-Mars Media non-profit and our mission of sharing educational research and technology.
