CMYW is a four player survival co-op inspired by classic space shooters. The objective is to work as a team in order to survive the longest and score the highest. Players must find a balance between gathering resources and defending their portal if they hope to succeed. Difficulty increases with time and total score. As the threat level increases, players will eventually encounter an assortment of enemies, each possessing unique abilities. The greater the threat though, the greater the reward. Scream for mercy all you want, but the Void will show you no forgiveness.

I'm very excited to present this game! Not only is it my first attempt at Greenlight, it's also my first serious game release.

I'm very excited to present this game! Not only is it my first attempt at Greenlight, it's also my first serious game release.

Game development is something quite new to me. I am formally educated as a mechanical engineer, and my exposure to code up until last year has been minimal. That being said though, video games have always been a major part of my life. I've always wanted to develop games but never had the know-how.

Eventually I committed myself to learn some code. I started small and was very loose with how I approached the subject. It wasn't long before my evenings and weekends were filled up learning anything and everything I could about coding. My passion for gaming and interest in mathematics (I know that sounds super nerdy) gave me limitless motivation to learn. I was hooked the moment I brought my first pixel to life and made it move.

In late February of this year, I was let go from my day job. At the time I didn't know it, but this unfortunate event had its silver lining. To alleviate the boredom of waiting to hear back from the numerous applications I had been spamming, I got back into the swing of things with my game development.

CMYW is a product of the last four months of my "unemployment". Minus the paycheque, game development has become my full-time job nowadays. Regardless of the financial outcome, it has been a pleasure working on this project — I feel like I have finally found my purpose in life. At this point, my only hope is that you enjoy playing this game as much as I enjoyed making it.

If you like what you see, please support me and vote for my game! I'd love to hear your comments too, so feel free to write me what you think about the project. Lastly, you can follow the development via Twitter, Facebook, or from my Greenlight page.
