-With potential appearances by other MekTek Staff as well other community and professional BT/MW leaders!
Events:
The Invasion Event for those of you who aren't familiar, is a special Mechwarrior/BattleTech social which brings together the entire community for a day of fun and events.
-This Invasion Event will see the largest concentration of cockpit owners ever! The public will have the opportunity to try out 8 Tesla II Cockpits running the BattleTech: Firestorm Tesla II 5.07 Beta.
-MekTek to demonstrate the latest beta versions of AT1:BT and MP4 (technology permitting) with theater style projection.
-Kalamazoo Air Zoo interest permitting.
-Bonfire weather permitting.
Prizes:
-Prizes will be supplied by MekTek.net including BattleTech 25th Anniversary (MekTek 10th Anniversary) wall posters, mouse pads, and pens (pending arrival from distributor in time for the event).
-Copies of inscribed AT1:BT and MP4 secret give away.
Preamble:
The public portion of this year's spring Invasion Event hosted annually by MechJock.com and will take place June 13th, 2009 from 1PM EST onward for the entire day. The private portion of this year's Invasion Event includes Invasion 5.07 Bootstrap which basically a developer's bootcamp where both myself (VAM) and Michel (Firestorm) will attempt to upgrade MW4:Firestorm on the Tesla II Cockpits with help from the pod owners. If you are a pod owner and wish to attend this year's event please let PropWash or VWE know that you will be attending so accommodations can be arranged.
If you have money to spend or will be in the area and are interested in meeting some the minds behind Mechwarrior then please find yourself to the Invasion Event on Saturday June 13th, 2009. If you plan to attend and are visiting for the first time from MekTek please let us know by posting on our special annoucements thread here and confirming you will attend. If you are attending as a youngster please have yourself accompanied by a parent or guardian to the event.
