Sir Alistair Skye, a knight in his early twenties, is of no small renown throughout the kingdom. Although people do not always recognize him on sight, his name and his deeds are well-known. Specifically, his deeds during the Great War.
Sir Skye joined the military at an early age, working as a squire to a knight-commander who lost his life during the Great War against the Reapers. He was raised to knighthood by a fellow member of his company, and was eventually chosen to lead a squad in scouting missions near the border. The result wasn't very pretty. Seeing the smoke from a distance, his squad rushed to the aid of a village being raided, but they were too late. The town was littered with the bodies and broken homes of the former owners. Enraged by this, he lead his squad deep into enemy territory, ignoring orders, and rescued the few survivors still alive. Shortly after the war, Alistair was honored by the King and given a place in the Kingsguard, at the capital for his service. For five years, he has served his king alongside his comrades peacefully.
