What is Matali Physics?

Matali Physics is an advanced, modern, multi-platform, high-performance 3d physics environment intended for games, VR, AR, physics-based simulations and robotics. Matali Physics consists of the advanced 3d physics engine Matali Physics Core and other physics-driven modules that all together provide comprehensive simulation of physical phenomena and physics-based modeling of both real and imaginary objects.

What's new in version 6.0?

  • Matali Games 6.0. The latest intermediate layer for Matali Physics environment provides a new set of projects dedicated to at least 64-bit architectures, under the name Matali Physics Game. Matali Physics Game set completely integrates and replaces the previous 32/64-bit Matali Physics Demo set, presenting selected features of Matali Physics environment in the form of a ready-made game template. Compiled Matali Physics Game with installer for Windows platform is available for download from the Downloads webpage;
  • Matali Render 6.0. The latest rendering module dedicated to the next-generation graphics APIs only: DirectX 12, Vulkan, Metal etc. provides soft-edged shadows, volumetric shadows, long range shadows, controlled interaction of light and fog with transparent surfaces, object contouring/outlining, and more;
  • Matali Synth module, an advanced, modern, multi-platform, high-performance software sound synthesizer for Matali Physics environment. New module is responsible for completely dynamic and "ductile" musical arrangements as well as studio-quality, hardware-independent, real-time rendering of music imported from standard MIDI files;
  • Physics-based behavioral animations. The latest version of Matali Physics SDK provides examples of physics objects that analyze surroundings and determine what they see. You do not need to specify every detail of object's motion, giving the animated object the ability to improvise and determine its own actions, of course to a certain extent. In combination with reusable AI algorithms, physical AI, object motion and state change control, multi-scene physics simulation and scene combining, dynamic system of lighting, shading and fogging, dynamic sound and music, you can create games that stand out from the crowd;
  • Next-generation physics-based graphical user interface (GUI) seamlessly integrating with your game and eliminating the need to use separate GUI systems. With the latest version of Matali Physics SDK you can easily create windows, buttons, custom controls, where only the physics environment is responsible for their overall processing. Each element of the physics-based GUI can be animated and its properties can change in real time;
  • Other improvements and fixes which complete list is available on the History webpage.

What platforms does Matali Physics support?

  • Android
  • Android TV
  • *BSD
  • iOS
  • iPadOS
  • Linux (distributions)
