Several new features have been added to BooBoo. Tilemaps created with AshEdit (check out our other products!) can be loaded, drawn and checked for solids. Sprites, which are collections of animations, can be easily loaded and drawn, with animation handled automatically.
Sprites are directories full of sprite sheets exported with Aseprite's Export Sprite Sheet feature. Then, the names of each animation get added to an array in a sprite.json file.
BooBoo is a fun way to make games and have something working immediately!
JSON loading was also added to BooBoo. The license is now a commercial redistribution license - you can download and use it freely, but if you want to redistribute the interpreter, there is a license fee. See the README for details.
