Reworking of Doom's E1M4, for Doom 2 MAP01. This is a limit removing map, but uses an mp3 for its custom music (taken from my project Visplane Overflow), so use a source port with mp3 support if you want to hear it.
This marks the fourth map in my UAC-MX series, a series of standalone maps that use the base engine to rework the original Knee Deep in the Dead episode of the original Doom. UAC-M4 is a reinterpretation of E1M4's Command Control. It proved to be a real challenge to develop, as there are a lot of branching paths and several vanilla-style bridges. I wanted to expand on the original while keeping its main architectural ideas intact.
The central circular chambers containing the blue key are part of a puzzle that also requires you to open the C-locks, which open partition walls between the chambers' doors, which are marked C1 through C4. If the C-locks remain closed, you won't be able to exit. UAC-M4 contains original music from my industrial Doom-inspired project, Visplane Overflow.
